Material and safety references
Our standard cabinet specification uses ENF-grade (≤ 0.025 mg/m³ formaldehyde) melamine-faced plywood cores. For wet zones, we offer aluminium-frame carcasses with stainless or powder-coated hardware. Documentation for both options is available on request, including:
For context on the underlying specification terms (ENF, melamine, carcass, hardware class), see the kitchen cabinet glossary. For project planning context, the about page walks through how we work end-to-end.
- Manufacturer test certificate for the ENF-grade plywood core we stock
- Hardware supplier compliance statement (Blum, Hettich, or equivalent)
- Edge-band and adhesive safety data sheet (SDS)
- Aluminium extrusion grade and surface finish specification
- Glass, mirror, and tempered panel compliance certificate
Insurance and warranty
All installation work is covered by a written 12-month workmanship warranty from completion date, plus the manufacturer's material warranty (typically 5–10 years for hardware and surface finishes). For commercial projects above RM 100,000, additional contractor all-risk insurance can be added on request — please flag this in your project brief so we can quote accordingly.
Supplier due-diligence checklist
If you are a property developer, fit-out consultant, or interior design firm evaluating Rowenda for a project, the documents typically requested at due-diligence stage are:
- SSM company extract (full printed profile)
- Latest audited financial statements (under NDA on request)
- Tax compliance certificate (e-Daft status confirmation)
- CIDB registration confirmation
- Bank reference letter
- Sample material test certificate (ENF, hardware SDS)
- Sample installation warranty letter
- Project reference list (last 12 months, anonymised if required)
Send your due-diligence list to credentials@rowendakitchen.com.my with a brief note on project scope, and we will return the requested documents within two business days.
Quality control and factory audit
Our factory runs a three-stage inspection on every project: pre-cut material check (board dimensions, surface defect scan, edge-band verification), mid-assembly check (carcass squareness, hardware pre-fit, drawer slide tolerance), and final QC (door alignment, finish uniformity, full hardware cycle test on every drawer and hinge). Customers are welcome to visit the factory for a mid-assembly check — please request this when booking your consultation.
The factory is MS 1553 compliant for fire safety and has annual workplace safety audits (PERKESO submissions up to date). Visitors are required to wear closed-toe shoes in the workshop area, which we provide if needed.
Tax and accounting compliance
For projects requiring tax-deductible invoices or SST registration handling, we issue proper tax invoices with SST breakdown where applicable. Our e-Daft status is current and our SST submission history is available on request. We are also registered for e-Invoice (MyInvois) issuance as required by the Inland Revenue Board phased rollout.
Confidentiality and NDAs
For projects that require confidentiality (developer fit-outs, hospitality projects, private estate work), we are happy to sign a mutual NDA before the first consultation. Standard NDA terms cover financial information, customer details, and project-specific design data. For larger commercial projects, a project-specific NDA with non-compete clauses is also workable — please bring your draft for review.
Sustainability and material sourcing
Beyond regulatory credentials, we track the sustainability profile of our material sourcing. Our plywood supplier is PEFC-certified for chain-of-custody, which means the timber originates from sustainably managed forests. Aluminium extrusions are sourced from Malaysian manufacturers using recycled-content billets where the project specification allows. Hardware (Blum, Hettich) carries the manufacturer's own environmental product declarations and is built for replacement-cycle longevity rather than disposable replacement.
